Agreeing to these terms

Using LottoPal (the "App") means you agree to these terms. If any of this is a dealbreaker, don't use the app.

Who can use it

You need to be at least 18 — or 21 in states that require 21 for lottery play. By using the app you're confirming you meet the age requirement where you live.

What the app is for

LottoPal is a tracker. It helps you keep notes on tickets you bought yourself, see public lottery results, and share or analyze your own data.

We don't sell tickets, act as a courier, or pay prizes. We're not a gambling operator. Buy your tickets from a licensed retailer in your area.

We can't promise it's all accurate

Winning numbers, jackpot amounts, prize tiers, scanned numbers — everything we show — could be late or wrong. If you think a ticket won, check it with the official state lottery before you try to claim it.

OCR scans can misread a digit. Eyeball every scan against the printed ticket before you save it.

Pro subscription

Some features (unlimited tickets, unlimited pools, cloud backup, no ads) need an active Pro subscription. Apple bills you through the App Store at the price and term shown when you sign up. It renews automatically unless you cancel in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the next charge.

All refund requests go to Apple — we can't process them.

What you agree NOT to do

• Don't use the app to break the law where you live.
• Don't reverse engineer or decompile it (except where law explicitly lets you).
• Don't try to break into our servers, our service providers, or other users' data.
• Don't use the app to sell tickets, run a courier service, or facilitate gambling.
• Don't scrape lottery data through the app and republish it in a way that competes with us or breaks the source sites' terms.
• Don't misuse the camera scanner. The scanner is for printed lottery tickets only. Do NOT scan people, faces, identification documents, credit cards, medical records, anything sexual or violent, or anything involving a minor. Scans are sent to a third-party AI provider for OCR, and misuse may violate that provider's terms as well as ours. We may suspend access for repeated abuse.

No warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

Limit on what we owe you

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, LOTTOPAL AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR LOTTERY WINNINGS FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS COMBINED WILL NEVER EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) WHAT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.

Some places don't allow these kinds of limits. If your state is one of them, parts of this section may not apply to you.

You cover us if you cause trouble

If your use of the app, your breach of these terms, or your breach of someone else's rights causes us to get sued, fined, or hit with a claim, you agree to cover the loss — including reasonable legal fees.

Changes

We can change, pause, or shut down any part of the app at any time. We can update these terms — the "Last updated" date at the top tells you when. Keep using the app after a change and you're agreeing to the new version.

Ending the relationship

You can stop using the app whenever you want. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms or do something that risks harm to other users or our infrastructure.

Governing law

These terms are governed by California law, ignoring its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about these terms or your use of the app gets resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you agree to those courts having personal jurisdiction over you.
